So so so, been ‘mad busy’ as they say… been down the studio a lot, completed a few more commissions, in the process of moving house, getting rid of 3 and a half years of crap, enjoying a few Bret’s Brews, getting tattooed… it’s been good.

This painting is of Stuart and Zofia, the parents of my friend Christina. It was for Stuart’s 70th birthday. It was a pleasure to do,  they’ve both been very good to me over the years, feeding me, clothing me and providing me with quality polish vodka… they’re especially good at showing how Christmas eve should be celebrated.
Again, my photos are bad and i forgot to write down the dimensions. Good work Richard.

This is a commission for my good friend Tom, who is giving it to his brother as a gift. I’ve known them both a very long time and doing this portrait was a real pleasure, especially in the context of the story behind the picture.
I feel like i’m getting more confident with each painting, especially in my use of colour. It makes me excited about the prospect of spending more time down the studio… learning more about painting, pushing myself more in my own work and listening to more Wu-Tang, Public Enemy and Nodzzz.

Been neglecting this poor old thing although i’m sure i have excuses a plenty for doing so… I have a couple of finished commissions to put up on here over the next day or two. I’m real happy with how they’ve turned out. I’ve also been getting back into drawing a lot so i might start posting the fruits of my labours up on here pretty soon too. soon, soon. Generally things are good, thanks for asking, had a rather fantastic summer holiday and now back to work… which yesterday involved my first trip to Little Voices Karaoke (of course)… it was a lot of fun.

This will now be the home of my painted artistic output, i’m very pleased with how it has turned out. The wonderful Verity has done a grand job making it for me, hassling me just the right amount… it’s a good thing she’s very proficient at dealing with children, that’s all I can say. patience is a virtue. etc.
