Struck with fear

Been very busy the last few weeks… loads to catch up on.
The other weekend Luke, Martha and I headed on down to the studio to start the process of screenprinting the 300 odd sleeves for the Tharn CD release that At Home is putting out. It was cold. very cold.
We got just over a hundred done before we couldn’t feel our fingers anymore, here are some photos of the fun we had listening to radio 4 plays, dancing to keep warm and admiring mark pavey’s lovely collection of french pegs…

We’ve just finished folding the sleeves, cutting the inserts and putting these 100 together. We’re going to stick them up for sale next week, they’re £4 (not including p+p) and they look and sound real good.

Now for the other 200…

I wrote a song for you

I have had a plan to record some more Huxley Boon stuff for a very long while now. I’ve had tons of ideas and recorded little bits here and there but I finally wrote, recorded and finished a song this weekend. I called it “Beaches” and didn’t want to leave it on Das Komputer forever for no-one to ever listen to so I put it up here for download.

Light White / Height Wheat

First things first… Happy snow day ‘n all that. It was lovely wasn’t it? Luke and I went to the park, made two giant snowballs then threw them at each other. The imagination is a wonderful thing sometimes…

Second thing – You know that tour I mentioned? well, there is now pictoral evidence courtesy of our photographer-in-residence Owen Money, here is a handy slideshow so you don’t even need to bother clicking your mouse while viewing. great! Hopefully you can spot Pavey’s mental scarring, from being physically mauled by boys for 9 days straight, unfolding within the snaps. Owen’s pretty good right?

Third thing – the snow has buggered up the delivery of some 7″ stuff… arse. HOWEVER, the ‘Tharn’ cd’s have arrived! I’ll tell you more later.

Fourth Thing – Hot Damn are playing at the Freebutt on Friday the 20th of Feb. The North Pole [φ] are playing the Brighton Zine Fest on Saturday the 21st at the Cowley Club, with The Cut ups, Sceptres, Shitty Limits and Serf Combat… AND 730 Radio will be making an appearance at the Sunday Zine fair at the Westhill Hall. Uh huh.
